Monday November 9, 2015

We started out our morning learning a new story from the Bible...the story of Gideon. God used Gideon, a regular guy to drive the Israelites enemies away! Sometimes God uses regular people like us to do amazing things as well...it all starts with helping others...helping our parents at home to pick up our toys or clear the dishes, or give a friend a hug when they are feeling sad!

After that we used bean bags to practice tossing back and forth between our hands. The movement from one hand to another helps the weaker parts of the brain and improves cognitive development. We were trying to use our eyes to follow the bean bag all the way from one hand to the other...it is a great way to help your child strengthen the muscles in their eyes. Why is this important? Training and strengthening the eye muscles makes it so your child can track words and letters on the page when they are learn to read!

Then we decided to try to balance them on our heads. :)

We started a new letter today...C.  Some of our friends were very excited to see this letter since it is the first letter in their name!!

We have hit all of these letters so far...do your kids recognize them?

Today we drew family portraits...we have been talking a lot about who or what we are thankful for and our friends are always talking about their families!

We got some new light table accessories!!

Just building the tabernacle.

November is going by so quickly!

Our meteorologist dressed Mat Man in a coat...make sure to send layers for your kids!  It is chilly in the morning when we head outside!

Decorating the table covering for our Thanksgiving Feast on Monday!

We are voting for the foods we like that are common at a Thanksgiving feast!
