Our weather graph for the month of September...14 days of sun, 2 days of rain, and 3 cloudy days.  No snow! :)

On chapel mornings sometimes we only get a short time to run around outside...so we have to make the most of it and really get our hearts pumping!!

Pastor Mark Rouland (my husband) was the chapel leader today.  He is one of the pastors here at Zion.  He talked about prayer and how it is when we talk to God!  He mentioned different times that we pray, at meals, at bedtime, when we are gathered with other believers...and what we can pray for...the boys and girls had some good ideas, we pray for our friends at school if they are sick, we say thank you for people we love, all great ideas!

He then talked about how Jesus prayed to our Heavenly Father!

Reading to ourselves!!

Pretty cozy in the den!

Miss Kirby's class is learning about firefighters.  They had a fireman visit their classroom and they invited us to listen in!! It was so exciting!

Mr. Sinovitch had on his full gear and he told us it weighs about 65 lbs!  He showed us what it sounds like when he is hooked up to the oxygen and he is using his voice amplifier that would help us hear him if we were in a fire.  He also showed us the alarm that goes off on his suit if he stays still too long!  That sound was really loud!!  That alarm is so that if anything happens to the firefighter he or she can be found more easily.

We sure learned a lot about firemen.  We all had different things to tell Mr. Sinovitch.  It was  a lot of fun.

We practiced our counting today by making a bear counting book.

Our calendar helper had a pretty boring job today since it is the first day of OCTOBER!!! I can't believe that we are done with the month of September!

Starting a new weather graph for the month of October!

We read the story "It's the Bear!" by Jez Alborough today.  It is such a fun story about a picnic and a little boy and a bear.

We used the towels and teddy bears in the gym today again.  We worked together to give the bears rides around the gym and some us us gave them sliding rides, some of us tried to throw the bears up and catch them with the towels.  Some of us wrapped them in the towels and cuddled. :)

Then we had some races...I won. ;)

It was a good day.
