Caroline is looking for her name on the smartboard...then she can drag her firefly into the firefly jar.

We are continuing to sign in our name...some of us are still working on the first letter...that's okay! It is a process. I sent home some paperwork on working with your child on writing their name...this is not homework...just meant to be information for you and you can use it how you would like.  I included the way we are teaching the alphabet to the boys and girls.

The boys and girls enjoyed making snakes today with the playdough.

During small groups Mrs. Schilling worked with the kids on counting...we rolled the dice and then the boys and girls counted out that many little math counters into their cup.

I read the book "the Dot" by Peter Reynolds to the boys and girls. It is about how there is an artist in all of us...we just have to start!  The boys and girls then made a picture out a pre-drawn circle in their journal...we had some cookies and suns and even a stool!! Great thinking!

I put a few pieces of environmental print that the boys and girls would recognize on some blocks and they worked together to build another city!

Gavin was such a great helper with some of our friends when they didn't know how to put on the smocks!

We used some of the recyclables you brought in to make circle art!!

We investigated dirt and water and guessed what would happen when we put them together...some of them figured it out... :).

MUD!!

We each got to touch it and feel it...you might have to go make your own mud at home!! ;)  It's so good for the kids to get dirty and experiment!

We had our first fire drill this morning! The kids followed directions and walked out quickly and quietly.  Exactly what we are supposed to do.
