Autumn worked hard to climb her way up the climbing gym! She was so proud!
Clark held the doors for our class today.
Lily was our line leader.
During our small group time the boys and girls worked in three centers.
At one of the centers the boys and girls looked into mirrors and drew self portraits trying to draw what they saw in the mirrors.
At the next station we added cinnamon to a nose remembering that our nose is for smelling.
The third station was cutting straws in to little pieces...the kids are practicing their cutting skills, working on those fine motor skills, building those muscles.
Lily is our artist of the week!
The children had to guess what was in the feely sock today by just putting their hand in and using their sense of touch...it was a tissue! We talked a bit about what job our nose has that God gave to us.
We also had a discussion about how to show God's love to others. The boys and girls gave some great examples.
I think Scarlett liked the smell of cinnamon.
We played duck duck goose outside today! It was such a lovely day!
Playing games like duck duck goose or other structured game settings requires preschoolers to consider the thoughts and actions of their peers and reinforces concepts like empathy and appropriate social behavior. Not to mention practicing those large motor skills, the kids were running as fast as they could!
Then we had a race back to the room!! :)
