Tuesday March 1, 2016

We started our estimation jar this morning!  The boys and girls signed their name and wrote down their estimates on the list!

We also started a new month today, so we needed to make a March sign for our calendar!

Finding our guess on the number line.

Working together on a puzzle.

Our calendar helper this morning had an easy job.

The meteorologist let us know it was a little chilly. We would need our coats when we went outside to play.

Our friend Zippy visited us during Jesus Time today.  He was feeling bad about not wanting to give his entire offering during Sunday School...he wanted to keep some to buy candy.  We talked about how sometimes we are like Zippy.  We do not want to give our time, talents, and money to Jesus.  But Jesus loves us so much.  Jesus died on the cross for us and rose from the grave.  Because of His love for us we can be happy to give.  We thought of other ways to give to Jesus...by helping a friend, giving a hug, sharing, praising Jesus, using kind words...these are all ways we are going to try to give to Jesus.

Out on the playground it was chilly!!!

We came in to read some books.

Then it was time for snack.  The boys and girls do such a wonderful job pouring their own milk now!  They are perfecting those fine motor skills. Snack time is also when we practice the art of conversation and good manners.

We continued our work on our shape castles!

We also worked on more castle puppets...the boys and girls created them and gave them a name...they had to be brave and try to write the name of their puppet on the back, writing the sounds that they hear.  I am so proud of these kids that they are trying to do this!!!

Working on those puzzles.

Building bubba a house.

We each picked a shape on our shape castles and wrote down the number and the name of the shape...have made our castles into a "can you find?".

So proud. Such hard work!!

Play in the castle.

A servant.

A guard.

We built this city!!

"Pretend we were the enemies!"

We counted how many cars in the estimation jar!  We had some close guesses but nobody guessed the same number that were in the jar.

Then we ran around in the gym!

These kids are so much fun!
