I caught all of these ladies checking out these sun catchers and giggling away this morning.

These three were working hard on storming the castle!

These two ladies might end up being architects or engineers!!

Play-dough is just so fun to create with!  We had everything from waffles to crown rings this morning!

We sure make fantastic buildings in this class! Look how high we can build!!

Our calendar helper on the last day of February.

Our meteorologist informed us of the sunny day and we found out it was a little chilly this morning.

So much fun outside!!

For our castle project today we looked at the people in the castle again.

Then we made puppets of castle "characters".

We continued on with our Paul Klee inspired shape castles.

This was I was told "a baby cage!" :)

This is where baby princesses go to princess school and are taught the ways of being a princess.

We checked out the letter K today.  That's a tricky one...listening to the sound we thought of so many words that started with the "K" sound...we found out some of those words begin with the letter C!!

We headed outdoors to run on the open field and get some games in!  It was beautiful!!

One of our friends very carefully documented what he created here.
These two are discovering the magic of the view master! :)

Always fun to imagine you are a knight in a castle!

Look at what I made!

Working hard at the writing center.

Twins!!

Our calendar helper.

Doing some jumping jacks with our pattern!

Checking out the weather!

Still chilly!

Then we started a plan to put on a play about Zacchaeus...we came up with a plan for what we needed...in the above picture we are using our letter/sound chart to figure out the sounds we hear in a word!  This friend is drawing a sycamore tree. :)

All the kids wanted to check out the eerie sky!

Headed outdoors!

Look at those muscles!!

Creating all of the characters for our Zacchaeus story.

Then we recorded everyone's voice telling a part of the story!

Getting down to the business of play.

and creating!

and engineering!

using your imagination!

Writing letters to those we love!

figuring out the volume of this castle...how many legos will fit in there?

Having fun with friends. :)

Proud of our work!!

Here is our video!!
