Lots of math is always happening with the boys and girls...we borrowed these sorters from Miss Limback! They are a fun one made of families!
Working on some sorting and numbers!
Miss Kirby, one of our full day preschool teachers, led chapel today. She talked about how Halloween is coming up and it is so fun and people give us candy for free...but there is an even better gift that is given to us for free...the gift of eternal life from Jesus our Savior!!
We really are improving on our reading to ourselves skills.
Snack time. :)
One of the kinds of bears we talked about during our bear study has been polar bears. We talked about how cold it is where they live! Each child took a turn putting their hand in the ice water. Brrrrrrr!!! We counted how long they could last...(don't worry I didn't let them stay in longer than 25 seconds...) Polar bears have a layer of extra fat or tissue that helps to keep them warm...it isn't blubber. I put their hand in a nitrile glove and put crisco all over it and then wrapped it in plastic wrap. The boys and girls then put their hand into the ice water...they said they couldn't even feel it!!! God is pretty amazing to have created these animals to survive where they live!
