Tuesday August 23, 2016

This morning I started trying to see where the boys and girls were regarding writing their name, knowing the letters in their name, and pencil grip.  It is so fun to see everyone grow as the year progresses!

More yummy cakes from this friend.  I wonder if she will grow up to be a baker!

Our calendar helper did a great job helping us practice our counting...

we decided to jump on numbers that have a 4 in them.

Our meteorologist checking out this gloomy morning.

The teacher assistant really helping us out this morning and lining people up to go outdoors.

We had our first chapel this morning!  The boys and girls did great! We practiced sitting with our backs against the pew and keeping our hands to ourselves with our feet off of the furniture. :)  It's a lot to remember but the boys and girls can do a really fantastic job!

Mrs. Lail's kindergarten class helped us to learn a new song that will be our theme song for the year.

Mrs. Haun was our Chapel leader this morning.

She read a story to us from the Bible...she read the story of Jesus blessing the children!  We were so excited to have already known that story and be familiar with it!

Taking the offering up to the altar.

Our snack helper putting out the napkins and cups.

We have a birthday!!!

The boys and girls did a great job singing happy birthday!

One of our friends wrote a story in his blank book!  He read it to us...very proud to share with the class.

Today we read the book "Today is Monday"  this is actually a song that Eric Carle illustrated...the boys and girls had the song down by the time we were finished reading it.

We had a lot of fun playing with old friends and making new ones today. :)

We also worked on our placemats for snacktime...I have a circle for the boys and girls to place their milk on...just so we remember to keep it away from the edge of the table.

Lots of fun today!
I didn't get any pictures of us running in the gym today...we played red light, green light and practiced some skills...large motor and listening (following directions).
