Wednesday August 24, 2016

This morning I spent time with the boys and girls finding out where they are regarding writing their name, letters in their name, pencil grip, etc.  It is always so exciting to see how far the boys and girls have come from the beginning of the year.

We had some wonderful coloring going on...coloring helps our friends to learn patience and grit...they learn to stick to something!

When our friends work with play-dough they are strengthening those muscles in their hands that help in writing skills later on!

More friends writing their name!

We picked our jobs during morning meeting this morning...we will continue to wait to pick our jobs so that everyone gets to pick a job they would like...sometimes the same people get the same jobs because they are the first ones there...we're trying to give everyone a chance....at least in the beginning. :)

Our meteorologist checking the weather.

Building those fine motor skills!

We learn to recognize and write our numbers!

Counting and moving together!

We headed outside to build our large muscles and work on our social skills!

 Rolling down the hill!

Our snack helper...setting out the cups.

Before snack we spend time reading books on our own, this is one of the ways that children become great readers!

There were some pretty good conversations going on at the snack table today!

Another one of our friends brought in her book all about her!

During Jesus Time today we talked about how we are all a part of God's Family!  We are like a team and we work to help take care of each other.  We each received a piece of a cross to decorate...hopefully I can get it put back together.

We are still working on our placemats for snack time. :)

Many friends chose to paint with watercolors today, building fine motor skills and always working on that executive function.

We love to make cookies with our playdough.

These two friends worked so hard together to create this wonderful contraption...they added bears and realized it would get jammed...they figured out the problem and solved it!
