We had many friends making cookies with the playdough this morning!

Some of our friends created Christmas Cards...

others made towers...

and some played house. :)

We read a story this morning during Jesus Time called "My Birthday, Jesus' Birthday" by Holly Davis.

This book was all about how we celebrate our birthdays and how we celebrate Jesus' birthday at Christmas!

Last day of November!

And it's sunny! (well it was this morning...)

We noticed that we had mostly sunny days in November.

We headed outside to enjoy the fresh air and move our bodies...build those muscles and large motor skills!

After that the camera was MIA so there aren't anymore pictures for the day...

but i promise we did lots of stuff...

we are working hard on our songs for the Christmas program, we talked about size and used words to compare height then we practiced putting things in order from tallest to shortest.

We talked about how our bodies sometimes feel emotions. When we are worried we may feel uncomfortable in our tummies or a little out of breath.  We can talk to an adult or to Jesus and it might help us feel better when we are worried.

This morning we made Christmas cards...

made towers...

used jingle bells with the magna tiles...

and checked out all of the decorations in the dramatic play area.

We sure are good at counting...

and figuring out the weather.

This morning we talked about Advent and how that is the season before Christmas and it's when we prepare for Christmas, Jesus' birthday! We talked all about how we prepare our own homes. Everyone took turns telling me something they have done in their own home or something they are going to do to get ready for Christmas. The boys and girls did a great job waiting their turn.

We headed outdoors to get some fresh air and move our bodies.

A friend of mine came to visit with a gift for our classroom.  Mrs. A is a retired music teacher.  She brought scarves for us to have in our classroom!!!

We had so much fun throwing them up and down.  And the boys and girls had such good manners with my friend Mrs. A.

We talked about the letter U today and what sound it makes and how it is formed.

We each practiced writing the letter U on the smart board before lining up to wash our hands for lunch!

We talked about feeling worried today, and how sometimes that feeling can be a little uncomfortable.  We talked about how you can go talk to someone about that a mom or dad, a teacher, or even saying a prayer to Jesus!  That can help us to feel better sometimes.

It is great to be back with the kids!! :)
