Tuesday November 15, 2016

The boys and girls have been doing a wonderful job signing in and settling in a little more calmly so far this week. :)  One of the choices in the morning is to write in your journal.  You could encourage your child as you drive to school and think of something they may be able to write about or draw a picture of in their journal.

Working on those fine motor skills.

Lots of focus to finish these beautiful leaves.

The boys and girls have built some inventive cars!

We started our day with calendar and it's one of our friend's birthday!!

The meteorologist.

Today we read the story of how God gave Moses the ten commandments.  These are very good rules to help us to put God first and to be kind to others. We also practiced our chapel songs so we can sing out tomorrow morning. :)  Time to get started on those Christmas songs!

Then we headed outdoors.

We came in to read stories...

The boys and girls did a great job reading to themselves today!

We sang Happy Birthday!

Then got down to business playing. :)

We have read so many books about Turkeys and how we eat them for Thanksgiving dinner and they are always trying to escape...the boys and girls are painting portraits of turkeys.

Forts!

We are painting pinecones with glue and then shaking glitter on them...to add a little beauty to our classroom.  Sometimes its fun to do something just to add a little color and shine. :)

These two worked so hard in their journals during free choice today!

Checking out the bobcat outside that was carrying around rock to make the path for our new playground!

We decided to go outside and watch for a bit and draw pictures of our observations.

Then we got to run around on this gorgeous day!

More watching of the playground construction.

We can't wait until it is finished!! :)
