It is always fun to start off our morning with a bunch of super kids! :)

We are going to sign in most mornings in the sign in book...it is something I used last year and am going to start up again!  The kids are really doing a great job learning their names!

Working on those fine motor skills pounding tees into pumpkins using hammers!

The legos are always a great way to build fine motor skills, creativity, focus, problem solving skills, just such a great toy!!

Fun with friends!

Coloring pages are also a wonderful way to practice focusing, creativity, and fine motor skills.  Sometimes the kids and I have the best conversations when they are just coloring! I learn so much about their lives this way!

"Look I made this tower and a pattern!"

Our calendar helper is excited that tomorrow is his birthday!!!

The meteorologist couldn't wait to report to us what the weather was like!

Zippy came and talked with us today!  He was upset that there were so many rules for him to follow, everywhere he goes!  We talked with Zippy about how rules are there to help us,  a lot of the time rules are there to keep us safe! We started talking about how God has special rules or commandments that help us to be safe and be kind to others and how to follow Him.

We read a book today about following the rules in our classroom and how that helps us all get along.

We remembered that there are rules on the playground and that we need to follow those rules when playing with others!  The kids were listening! :)

We have read so many books with turkeys in them.  Today we read "Run, Turkey, Run" by Diane Mayr.  The kids are continueing to work on their turkeys! (I can't wait to hang them up in the hallway!)

We also worked on a project that will just add beauty to our room...we painted pinecones with glue and then added glitter...they are so beautiful!  (Thank you Kuhlmanns for donating those pinecones!)

Such a fun day!
We had our last day of talking about accidents today...we remembered that if you accidentally hurt someone you need to explain, tell them that it was an accident and say that you're sorry. The boys and girls are really getting the hang of this.  It is hard at times for kids to say that they're sorry...they don't want to own up to something because they fear it will get them in trouble.  But we talked about how accidents do happen and we always need to try to help and not hurt and saying you're sorry and seeing if they are okay helps with this.
We also watched a fun Sesame Street podcast on the letter I.  This video had all sorts of snippets from Sesame Streets past that talked about the letter I.  If you ever need a few minutes look these up on youtube they are fantastic for your kids with letter recognition! :) Love old Sesame Street!
