We are reading the story from the Bible of Noah and the Ark. When God flooded the entire earth and then made the promise that He would never do that again. When He made that promise He gave us the symbol of the rainbow and how that would remind of us of God keeping His promises!
We used our hands to make a rainbow together! This collaborative art project was so fun!
We painted their hands...at certain times the boys and girls got to take one hand with one color and another hand with another color...smash them together...mix it up...and voila!! A new color was made!!! It was so fun to watch the boys and girls discover this!
Still working on those board games and social skills! :)
Boys and girls from Mrs. Kuhlmann's third grade class came to read books to us in our classroom! It was fun to be with the big kids!
On Fridays we don't have gym time so we needed to do some moving around! Our outdoor time was very short...it was just so hot for us! So we did some moving and dancing following some videos on gonoodle.com.
The boys and girls love "a moose ta cha"! You'll have to ask them to demonstrate!
Clark was our meteorologist today...he added to our weather graph...looks like the sunny days might win out during the month of September. (shocker!)
We continue to build Mat Man. He has an important job of helping children learn about their bodies, body functions, counting, taking turns, sequencing, placing pieces, and participating in a group.
Today after we built him we drew Mat Man...the boys and girls did a great job!! Some of them surprised themselves!
