The boys and girls are getting better in the habit of picking a job and signing in before they begin about their day!

Building with blocks like our wooden blocks and Legos helps develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, spatial skills, helps the capacity for creative, divergent thinking, and when working with other children helps build social skills and language skills.

Working on some patterning we have been getting better and better at this!!

You can't really see but Caroline is adding to our weather graph!

We are starting a new project about bears!  The boys and girls reached into the feely sock today and tried to guess what was in there...

it was a little bear!

I led the boys and girls in a cheer this morning during Jesus Time...we are finishing up how Abraham was called by God to travel to a far away land...and how God blessed Abraham!  We thanked the Lord for blessing us as well!  But most of all, thanked Him for sending JEsus to be our Savior from sin!  Hip Hip Hooray! God saves the day!!

THen we sand a little Father Abraham...see if your child remembers the song!

Then we decorated to put on our bulletin board since the Lord promised Abraham that his descendants would be as many as the stars in the sky...and he was 100 years old and hadn't even had his first child yet!

While we were outside the eighth graders had their annual rocket launch!  We watched as they filled their rockets with water...

...then Mr. Debrick and Mrs. Murray worked together to pump air into the rockets and release them!

Some of the rockets shot so high into the sky!!! It was very exciting!

We read about bears in the book "We Are Bears".  Ask your child if they remember anything they learned about bears!

whoops! Mrs. Schilling caught me eating a few of the teddy grahms counters... :)

Reading books in our bear den.
