Put some cups out and see what happens!!

Our gardener tending to the plant.

Look at our tall tower!

Creating masterpieces!

The kids were so excited to give presents!!! Mrs. Schilling and I were so amazed at your generosity!! Thank you!

Cars aren't just for boys.

Getting a little exercise out in the cold!

Our chapel today was led by Mrs. Hoehner.  She talked about Angels and how angels are God's messengers...they told people all sorts of news in the Bible.  Now it's our turn to be messengers!  We need to tell people that Jesus loves them!!

Our calendar helper worked very hard this morning.

The meteorologist checking out the weather...deciding what to report.

We had a birthday to celebrate today!!

We read a story today called "Mortimer's Christmas Manger".  The story is about a mouse who finds the perfect house...a nativity set.  Ask your child what mortimer did with all the pieces to the nativity set.

It was a fun day!!!

Wednesday December 16, 2015

We have so many masterpieces being made in the morning!! :)
Doing something like painting or coloring helps boys and girls to learn to focus and use their grit...to finish!

I pulled out a rug that has a town and roads on it...the kids have enjoyed driving the cars and trucks all over it!

Lots of concentration here.

Our counting skills have just grown tremendously...everyone can count and knows where to start and how we listen and all stay together!

We did such a great job reading to ourselves today!  Everyone used their calm bodies and picked a book out and sat down to look at it!

(and hug our friends.)

Look at our line skills!!! In the beginning of the year it looks like I am herding cats...they are just so grown up!

We had some special visitors today!  One of our friend's "Nanny" (grandma).  Who is a retired librarian came and read to our class.

She read us a story without showing us the cover and we listened so carefully to try to guess in the end what the story was about!

Look how well we listened with such good manners!!

The story was the legend of the Candy Cane!  It talked about how the candy cane is in the shape of a "J" for Jesus...and if you turn it the other way a shepherds crook to remind us of the night when Jesus was born and how the shepherds spread the good news that Jesus was born!  The candy cane is striped with red to remind us of Jesus blood that was shed for us when He died on the cross.

To help remind us of the candy cane...they had made each of us a scarf!! A candy cane scarf!!

Then we played a silly game.

The boys and girls had to help dress up myself and Mrs. Schilling in clothes that we wear during the winter time!!

It was such a fun visit and treat!! Thank you Vickie!!

Then we got down to business of play...and a little work on our special projects for our moms and dads!

A little school...

Mrs. Haun was our other special visitor today...she read us two stories...one about Santa trying to figure out which animal would be able to fly his sleigh...you'll have to ask your child about the silly choices Santa made!  Then she read a book about our Savior Jesus and how He was born for us. :)  Then she gave every child in our class an eraser!  So many special treats today!!
