Tuesday December 8, 2015

Our morning was nice and routine starting off with our counting the days in December.

We are working on our pattern.

Then we got to play outside for a few minutes before chapel.

Mrs. Stuhr was our Chapel leader today.  She talked about how sometimes we feel grumpy and things happen to make us feel grumpy but whenever that happens we can look to Jesus and remember how much He loves us.  We can especially remember this as we get closer and closer to Jesus' birthday, Christmas!!

Then we got a chance to practice for our Christmas program on Sunday!!!

We came back and had some snack then we read a story called "Santa's Favorite Story".  The story tells of how Santa loves Christmas but he loves Christmas because it is Jesus when Jesus was born, and how Jesus is the best present!  That is why Santa hands out presents on Christmas! :)

In the writing center right now we have paper and stamps and words to help us make Christmas cards for people that we love!

Our Artist of the Week is creating a masterpiece!

Lots of our friends wanted to paint today!

We are finishing up our Name Christmas trees!  This activity helps the kids practice cutting, counting, recognize their name, write their name, building fine motor by glueing, building hand eye coordination by putting them down in the correct order and place...lots of work in one little project!  Come check them out in the hallway!

These puzzles help with hand eye coordination as well!!

Lots of pretending today as well...I love to listen to the boys and girls use their imaginations...the mommy was filling her purse for the baby because the baby loves to eat snacks. :)

We love to play games with our friends!

Building a garage for the cars.

Signing our name is an everyday occurrence...whether it is in the sign in book or on a piece of their work...the boys and girls have come so far!!
We got to go outside again after center and free choice time.  I just didn't get any pictures.  It was just such a beautiful afternoon!!  Many of us didn't even need coats! :)
