One of the activities that we start our day with is almost always play-dough.  The malleable of properties of play-dough make it fun for investigation and exploration as well as secretly building up strength in all the tiny hand muscles and tendons making them ready for pencil and scissor control later on!

Everyone surprised me by sitting quietly and ready on the carpet so we could start our day!  They picked everything up so quickly, it was such a nice start!

Another chilly morning says the meteorologist!

The outdoors is the very best place for preschoolers to practice and master emerging physical skills.

It is in the outdoors that children can fully and freely experience motor skills like running, leaping, jumping, and climbing!!

We had an investigation today.  We added four different substances to candy canes...and watched them to see what happened...did those different substances change the candy canes?  Ask your child what happened!

Finishing up our cards for the families of Friends of Kids with Cancer.

Working hard on our Christmas trees.  The boys and girls counted out the letters in their names and then cut out that many triangles to make a christmas tree!  We have a few in the hallway...you'll have to come and check them out!

Another activity which was for the kids to work on their hand eye coordination and also problem solving skills and even a little grit, was wrapping yarn around a star.  The boys and  made a fun decoration in the process!

Lots of building always happens in our classroom!

The pretend play is always happening as well!  They have such fantastic imaginations!  This type of play is great for the boys and girls to practice problem solving and things like social skills!

Checking out the results of our investigation! :)
We also practiced our songs for the CHristmas program with Miss Kirby's class.  They are doing a fantastic job of learning the songs and singing out! :)
