Creating with play-dough
lets children feel competent (I’m good at rolling the dough!) and proud of
their accomplishments (Hey! I made a dog!).Pounding, flattening, and squeezing are healthy and safe
outlets for extra energy.
Our calendar helper was so excited to lead us in our counting the days in December this morning!
Still needed our jackets this morning...our meteorologist made great choices for mat man.
We watched a video of the story of Jesus' birthday today during Jesus time.
Outdoors time is such a great time for the kids to practice all of those large motor skills and gain confidence in their movements as well!
It is also such a fun time to build our friendships as well.
Today we used candy canes in our investigation again..the boys and girls gave me their
hypothesis on what would happen when I put baking soda, a candy cane, and water
together…and then also when I put baking soda, a candy cane and vinegar
together.Ask your child what
happened to the candy canes…
We also read the story "The First Christmas Present". It talks about how Jesus was the first Christmas present. Also how we can give presents to Jesus as well...a song, a prayer, being kind to others!
Then non standard units of measure to see how tall we are!!
Putting the finishing touches on our angels.
Creating Christmas cards for ones we love!
One of my favorite things to see is the boys and girls playing with the nativity set and acting out the Christmas story!!
We also spent a lot of time practicing for our Christmas program this weekend!! :)
