Thursday December 4, 2015

The boys and girls begin our day doing activities such as coloring which helps them to practice holding a writing tool the correct way and aids in develop those tiny muscles in their hands, fingers, and wrist.  It also aids in hand-eye coordination as our kids learn to color within the specified area.

We also usually have the playdough out as well.

We ate our snack in our room today because our chapel service went a little long. :)

During free choice the kids got the opportunity to create a christmas card for someone.  Some of the kids really enjoy this area!

Some of our friends found a new batch of cars that were set out to play with.

Some of our friends are so patient and could string fruit loops all day. :)

We did an experiment today.  We took four different substances and put a candy cane with them.  We used water, vinegar, oil, and air.  Some of those substances caused our candy canes to change!!!  Ask your child what happened today with the candy canes. :)

Had some new dress up clothes that work for Mary and Joseph to act out the Nativity Story!

Today we used yarn to wrap around a star for a decoration...and practice our hand eye coordination.

CHecking out our investigation!

We also practiced cutting out triangles and writing our name and at the same time created a Christmas tree!

It turned out to be a beautiful day!!

We are finishing up our cards for the families that we are helping to raise money, Friends of Kids with Cancer, to aid them while they are going through a painful time.

Pastor Rouland led us in Chapel today.  He talked about how in Church we use candles and how that is to help remind us that Jesus is the light of the World who came at Christmas!

We had a Baptismal birthday remembrance chapel today!

Here we are checking out all of the ingredients to our investigation.
