Monday September 26, 2016

We started another survey this morning.  Today's question is "Have you ever ridden on a train?"  When we were talking about the things that we know about trains last week, many of us mentioned riding on a train!  We'll find out about everyone's answer this week. :)  I can't wait to see the results from the information that we gather!

Our calendar helper this morning. :)

Meteorologist.

Showing us a special shirt.

In Jesus Time we talked about the story of the "Tower of Babel".  People wanted to build a tower to reach God.  They thought they were the best...they forgot about God.  God didn't let them finish building the tower, He confused their language so they couldn't communicate.

We tried to build a tall tower..and then we pretended to talk in different languages and be confused!

During our outdoor time this morning we had a fire drill!  The boys and girls did a good job remembering to listen for their name and follow directions.

One of our friends found sticky mud. :)

More friends found sticky mud!!

There's a rock stuck in this one!

Our snack helper this morning.

Reading books!

After snack the camera was lost. :(  But we had an eventful day!  We read a story called "The Train to Lulu's".  It is a story about two sister's taking a long ride to stay with their Aunt Lulu for the summer. During our project time we looked at pictures and videos of train stations and noted all the things that we saw.  We are trying to put together a train station and train for the dramatic play area.  It was very fun to watch the kids jump right in!  We have to create many things for our station!

We also are learning about "Asking for what you need or want".  It is an important skill for children to have, to ask for help when they need it.
