The boys and girls have really enjoyed my new dough scissors!  It is such a great way to build those fine motor skills that are needed for writing!

Who knew playdough would be such a social activity. :)

We have another fine motor skill builder...tennis balls with mouths!! The boys and girls have to squeeze the sides of the tennis balls to feed the tennis ball...it is quite hilarious. :)

Building with legos and duplo bricks helps kids to think in three dimension, develops problem solving, and improves creativity!

We are signing our name everyday one way or another...I have begun to work with each child and the letters in their name.

Sometimes our friends are so excited to tell me about what they have created...this is a "strawberry cake".  Mmmmmmm.

Our meteorologist reporting on this glorious day!

(that crazy look on my face is me starting a firecracker cheer...)

We did a little calming of our bodies by breathing deeply and stretching out our bodies.

Two more friends brought in books to share with our class! (i don't know what THAT crazy look on my face is for...)

The boys and girls are just so proud to share their books!

We had to run around on the field before we went to chapel to get a few of the wiggles out. :)

Mr. Debrick, our school principal, was our chapel leader today.

His message talked about how we can get a hold of Jesus! We only need to pray!  Jesus is always listening.

If we have some thing that is heavy or bothering us and is a burden we can talk to Jesus about those things.  Jesus will help us.

He showed us that when we fold our hands to pray we make a cross with our thumbs...remember that Jesus loves us so much...he died for us.

Our offering helper today!

Baptismal remembrance service!

Our boys and girls who were baptized in the month of August and September were given little prayer dolls from Belize!

We had to get back out and play outside on this most beautiful day!

The boys and girls find all sorts of treasures out on the playground.

We had a celebration today of a baptismal birthday! So he brought in a treat...it was a big hit...fruit by the foot. (Sorry if your children beg for these from now on)

Our snack helper working hard!

We had a school earthquake drill today...the girls and boys did a great job following directions!  We went quietly under the tables and then after 60 seconds we moved to the field outside of our door.  The boys and girls then listen for their name and respond with "Here!"  They all did just fabulous!

Then in the special "feel sock"  the boys and girls got to use their sense of touch to guess what is inside.

It was a glue bottle.  We talked about how to use glue and how much to use.  It really is a learned skill.  Takes a bit of control and fine motor strength.  It is a fun thing for the kids to do...some of them really like to squeeze out that glue!

We have started using our clips on our names during free choice.  That means that there are only enough spots for a certain amount of kids in a space at a time.  If that section is filled then girls and boys would have to make another choice.  The dramatic play are was full and some friends wanted to play there...we created a sign up sheet so kids could sign up and play in there when a space opened up.

Practicing some numbers and gluing.

The boys and girls work hard during free choice.  I caught this one dancing on the stage. :)

Time to head outdoors again!

Just such a lovely day. :)
