Tuesday September 6, 2016

The boys and girls worked with the fiddlesticks and magnets this morning...it is always fun to see how they work with a new building tool.

These two are working hard on their coloring...they actually worked together and made the same picture!

Calendar helper...we all leapt into the air on 5!

Writing the number 6!

Checking out that weather!

We are continuing on with how God created our world during Jesus time...He made the earth for us to enjoy and take care of!

We sang one of my favorites..."If I were a butterfly!"

Then we headed out for a creation hunt...the boys and girls pointed out many things that God created...the sun...

rocks...

grass...

dirt...

leaves...

trees...

kids...

the sunshine was warm...

more trees and grass...

the sky...not a cloud there today...

flowers...

grasses...

birds...

the wind was blowing...

pinecones...

squash...

logs...

moss and bark...

pebble...

there is a bug in this picture but it's hard to find...

God created spiders!  He sure created a lot of things that we see everyday!

Everyone got a chance to reach into the feely sock and guess what was inside...

It was a square!!  We talked about how a square has four equal sides, they are the same!

Then we read the story "Perfect Square".

During free choice the boys and girls also had two projects to work on...we practiced our cutting skills by cutting up a square and putting it back together...anyway we would like.

One more of our friends brought in their book to share!

We ran around in the gym...

really fast!

We also worked on our pages for our Creation Around Us book taking ideas from our creation hunt this morning!

We got a new huge tube in our classroom...the kids love dumping things inside and using it as a ramp!

Helping each other out.

It was a fun day back at school!
