Friday January 15, 2016

Our day was a day of exploration and fun.  The kids love this bucket of buttons to sort and find the prettiest ones and just search through them!

The gears are back out and the kids are creating elaborate contraptions.

We are figuring out how to use the stencils, it takes a lot of control to keep the stencil still and trace inside or around the shape.

And of course the playdough in the morning is always a popular area.  The boys and girls were creating cakes and pies this morning.  It is a great time for the children to learn to take turns and have patience until it is their turn!

Our calendar helper today had to write the number 15!! That is a tricky one!

The rain had stopped by the time we checked the weather!

But it was quite wet outside...so we played in the commons.

We sure are making great friends here at school!

I love when they are all laughing and playing together!

We got the sand trays out today and practiced writing letters in the sand.

We designed our gingerbread men!

We pretended in the kitchen...I think at one point a wedding was being planned!

More building on our structure!!

Writing our name on the back of our interview...no sign in today.

Lots of puppet shows today!!!

We also made a fun "snow paint" that is puffy!  It was fun to spread it all over the paper.  When it dried it was very soft!!

Look at our big building!!!  These are some proud "struction" workers!!

At eleven o'clock we headed outside...the sun came out and it was warm!

We had some friends helping each other out because it was still damp so we were very cautious. :)
