We opted to stay indoors for our large motor play time again because of the cold temperatures.  So the kids played in the commons area.

We had some dancing, hula hooping, throwing, catching, skipping, jumping, running, laughing, resting, so much happens during that time! :)

We got some new to us building materials in our room!  These play planks are helping the kids to build much larger structures!!  They are figuring out how these fit together and possibilities there!!

We had an animal parade being created today!

Creating things for the ones we love!!

Working together!

The rice is in the sensory table still...

we had some frozen cakes being made in there today!
We read "The Snowy Day" again by Ezra Jack Keats today.  It is one of my all time favorite books.  The boys and girls worked on their snow scenes just like in the story!

I have such creative kids in our class!!!

We have been playing a snowflake bingo game...the boys and girls take turns rolling the die and counting the dots, then they cover up that number on the snowflake with a marshmallow...when they have covered up all six of the numbers they get to eat their marshmallows. :)

Our Bible story for the week is when Jesus is lost and Mary and Joseph find him in the temple! He is listening to the teachers and talking with them...the priests are amazed at the things that Jesus knows.

We noticed in the scenes from "The Snowy Day" that there was snow on top of everything...we tried to do the same in our pictures!

The sneaky hedgehog came to visit today...he tried to trick the kids and hide under a number they didn't know...but they knew all the numbers!!!
