Friday April 8, 2016

The meteorologist told us it was chilly this morning!!
During Jesus Time this morning we had our last day of learning about Jesus' resurrection!! We know that Jesus lives for us each day!! :)

Today we read another story about some plants and a garden that a man created to tell the story of his life.  We are building tally marks for the three words that we used in our book yesterday: worry, stomp, and possible.Today we practiced drawing what we see!  Mrs. Stanglein lent us her bleeding heart plant.

The boys and girls made lovely drawings of the plant!  We talked about what we saw, what color the parts of the plant were and that there were leaves and flowers, there was a jar with water...check out your child's drawing in the hallway!

The boys and girls are enjoying the dramatic play area being a kitchen again...they sure love to pretend being a family.  They must all really love being a part of their own! :)
Pretend play is a great way for the boys and girls to practice life! Through this type of play most of the time the boys and girls are given the opportunity to practice taking turns or problem solve!

We still love using the writing center to create pictures or letters for those that we love!

Here are the bleeding hearts!

We had a fun time playing "Hide the bell"...we used cups with numbers and then we used cups with letters to work on recognizing those! (it also helps them to practice taking turns and playing games fairly!)

Picnic time!

Huh...I wonder how much we could put in here?

Some of our friends figured out to put tissues down to help the paint to dry quicker!

The birthday boy taking a break from all the crazy in the room. :)  The donut holes were delicious!  Thank you for sharing!

It was a beautiful but windy and chilly time outside!

Cool new shirt!
