We signed in by how we feel today. Look at that angry face! (She admitted she didn't really feel angry, just thought it was fun to sign under that one.)  :)

We drew some wonderful pictures this morning.

Look at that teamwork!

Checking out some tulips I brought in today!

The finished product.

Singing our good morning song...some are more into it than others. :)

The calendar helper this morning.

The calendar helper had to make up a pattern to share with the class.  Can you figure out the pattern she made?

A rainy morning our meteorologist tells us.

This morning we watched a video of our story from the Bible.  We saw how Jesus surprised his disciples two times.  His disciples were fishing and were not having any luck...a man appeared on the beach and told them to try the other side of the boat...well a their nets were full!!! They figured out that the man on the beach was Jesus!! They came back with their nets full and Jesus made them some breakfast. :)

Since it was a rainy morning we did some movement videos on gonoodle.com.  We got our bodies moving a lot...got a little sweaty!

Then we did practiced taking deep breaths and blowing a tissue high in the air!!

After that we sat a read books.

They did such a good job focusing on the story that they had in their lap...it was really quiet and peaceful in our room this morning!

After snack we went to the Family Life Center in the church...we had a special visitor and presentation from the Missouri Botanical Garden!

Miss Tanya talked to us about using our senses when we check out the world around us!

She read us a story...

and taught us a song!

Then we got to look at some plants using our senses...except for tasting. :)

Here is the song that we learned! It is sung to the tune of "Where is thumbkin".

Here is the story that we read.  If you would like to review with your child the five senses.

Then we filled our own pot with dirt and some basil seeds.  So each child has a plant of their own to watch grow!

We also had a journal that we colored in while we waited for our turn.  Check it out with your child...maybe you could help them fill in some of the questions!

Then back to our classroom for some still life painting of the tulips.

And some free choice play!

We made our estimations...one of our friends brought in some fun "beauty items" she pretends with. :)

We also continued taking turns sorting jelly beans with Mrs. Schilling.

Then we counted out how many were inside!

Since we missed the gym because of our special guest we had a freeze dance party before lunch to move again.

They have so much fun when we dance!! :)
