Monday April 4, 2016

We are back to the grind!  Some of our friends worked together to make the sign for our new month.  Everyone worked together to write the word and draw flowers all over it.

Had some great creations made already.

Working in our journals.

Our calendar helper for the day.  We wrote the birthdays for April on our calendar.  I hope to encourage the boys and girls to think of other things happening in their lives and share those and we can write them on the calendar.

We made a pattern of boy and girl today.

It is a nice sunny day today!!! :)

We had a nice morning...the boys and girls took turns telling me things that they did over their break from school. Sounds like everybody had a good time.

We are getting so strong and gaining more confidence when we use our bodies!

We read the story "A Sad Day and A Happy Day"  it is the story of when Jesus died on the cross...it was a sad day. But then, He rose from the dead and saw His friends!  It was a happy day!
We then made resurrection rolls with the boys and girls for a special treat.  The boys and girls wrapped Jesus (a marshmallow) in the tomb (a crescent roll)...we baked them...and they were empty!!!

I interviewed the boys and girls today about the Easter Story for their portfolios.

One of our friends said..."hey the marshmallow is gone!"  Another friend answered, "Because Jesus rose from the dead!  He isn't in the tomb!" :)

We got out our alleluia banner to celebrate Easter!

Working together.

We got to eat our rolls!

Yum!!

 "It's empty!!"

We took pictures for another little project...but they turned out so nice thought i'd share. :)
